PURPOSE:To minimize limits on a photographing distance on a longer focal point side and to prevent camera's shaking at the time of natural light photographing by determining a flash switching value based on the flash synchronizing shutter speed of a focal plane shutter or a camera shaking limit shutter speed, whichever is slower. CONSTITUTION:An exposure calculating means 10 inputs metering data from a metering means 15 and focal length data fl, etc., from a photographing lens 2. Based on information on the focal length of the photographing lens 2, the means 10 detects the camera shaking limit shutter speed, compares the flash synchronizing shutter speed of its built-in focal plane shutter with the detected camera shaking limit shutter speed to find which is slower and determines the flash switching value according to the slower speed. Thus, at the time of flash photographing, the photographing distance is not restrictive on the longer focal point side and camera shaking at the time of natural light photographing can be prevented. |
