PURPOSE:To obtain the title substance in high conversion ratio and efficiently, by reacting an olefin with an oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a cobalt complex catalyst, a promoter comprising an N-containing heterocyclic compound and further a secondary alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by formula I (R<1> is alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, etc.; R<2>-R<4> are H, alkyl, aryl, etc.) is reacted with an oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a catalyst shown by formula II (R<5>, R<7>, R<8> and R<10> are H, lower alkyl or aryl; R<6> and R<9> are H, lower alkyl or -COOR<11>; R<11> is H or lower alkyl), a promoter comprising an N-containing heterocyclic compound and further a secondary alcohol at 70-80 deg.C to give a compound shown by formula III or IV (R<12> or R<13> is OH). 2,6-Dimethylpyridine, 1-methylpyrrole, etc., may be preferably cited as the promoter and the aimed substance is obtained from these compounds in high conversion ratio. |
