PURPOSE:To make magnetic field dependence smaller and critical current density higher, by carrying out a treatment with high pressure oxygen after baking in production of an oxide superconductor of rare earth element-barium-copper- oxygen system substituted a part of copper with Ga. CONSTITUTION:Raw material is regulated to maintain the molar ratio of metallic ion composition expressed by formula I (Ln is Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb or Lu; 0<x<=0.2). Next, the mixed raw material is calcined, crushed, molded and baked, then carried out a treatment with high pressure oxygen to obtain an oxide superconductor expressed by formula II (-0.1<=y<=0.1). A superconductor having optional transition temperature to superconducting depending the substituted amount of gallium substituting a part of copper is produced by said method, further, as a treatment with high pressure oxygen is carried out after baking, weak points of usual superconductor, which are, a large dependence to magnetic field and low critical current density, are improved. |
