PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide a stable superconducting material having high critical temperature, by adding a multielement based complex oxide consisting of Tl, Ca, Ba and Cu having a specific composition as a main component. CONSTITUTION:The aimed superconducting material essentially contains a complex oxide having a composition expressed by the formula TlxCayBaCuzOa, wherein x, y and z are each within the range expressed by the formulas of 0.5<=x<=3.0, 0.5<=y<=3.0 and 0.9<=z<=4.0. Although the superconducting material contains the complex oxide expressed by the above-mentioned formula mainly, the material is not necessarily and exactly limited to these ratios and occasionally exhibits effective superconducting characteristics also in a composition being within the range of + or -50% of these ratios. Accordingly, the above-mentioned [containing mainly] means that also contains ratios other than the atomic ratios expressed by the formulas. Furthermore, the above- mentioned superconducting material is obtained by pulverizing a mixture obtained by mixing powders of elements of Tl, Ca, Ba and Cu or powder of compound containing one or more of these elements in such a manner as to contain the above- mentioned all elements or burned product thereof and sintering the pulverized product one or more times. |
