摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance having an anti-androgen action and effective in treating and preventing alopecia using an inexpensive extraction solvent by extracting a Japanese green gentian with an organic solvent such as ethanol and a specific amount of water as an extracting solvent. CONSTITUTION:The aimed substance useful as a hair-growing and nourishing agent is obtained by extracting a Japanese chirata using a mixture of an organic solvent selected from ethanol, isopropylalcohol and acetone with water, wherein the water is present in an amount of 10-50vol.% based on the organic solvent, as an extraction solvent.
