PURPOSE:To strip scale, a coating material or concrete off an inner or outer wall surface of a steel pipe or the like extremely efficiently and securely without any manual operation by centrifugally rotating a plurality of impact rings provided with impact protrusions on outer peripheral surfaces thereof through utilizing centrifugal forces to make a series of impacts. CONSTITUTION:In a steel pipe 20, a ring-rotating disk 3 is rotated, so that impact rings 2 are centrifugally rotated on rotary shafts 5 therefor. A part of each of the impact rings 2 is caused to fly out of the disk 3, so that impact protrusions 1 collide against the inner wall of the pipe 20. Due to a reaction to the collision, the ring 2 rebounds into the disk 3, and is then centrifugally rotated on the rotary shaft 5 therefor by a rotational centrifugal force of the disk 3, so that the impact protrusions 1 collide against the inner wall of the pipe to impact a scale 7 or deposits 7 present on the inner wall of the pipe. The scale is stripped off the steel pipe, and small lumps of concrete or the like adhered to the inner wall are also stripped off. A coating material applied to the inner wall surface is hardened with age, and upon impact by the protrusions 1, the coating material is broken and stripped off. |
