PURPOSE:To easily perform the formation of a pre-format and to improve a C/N by designating the land of a non-etching part, etc., at the time of performing an etching process as a recording and reproducing part, and providing an etching part, etc., at a part of the land according to a pre-format pattern. CONSTITUTION:The land 1 of the non-etching part at the time of generating a substrate is designated as the recording and reproducing part, and a bit 4 is formed and recorded by projecting a laser spot on the land part 1. Meanwhile, the etching part 3 is provided at a part of the land 1, and it is set as the pre- format. Then, the pre-format can be generated easily since it is provided with the same depth of the groove as that of another groove, and also, light is used effectively because the recording and reproducing part is provided at the land part, thereby, the C/N can be improved. Also, the same result can be obtained by a similar stamper process instead of the etching process. |
