<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a composition containing TGF-βand TNF or IFN-α, and capable of inhibiting the proliferation of immunocytes, hematinic precursor cells, hypertrophic cells and carcinoma cells in mammalian. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains TGF-β(transforming growth factor-β) and TNT(tumor necrosis factor) or IFN-α(α-interferon) in a weight ratio of 1:(1-10,000). The composition is useful for treating diseases accompanied by the cancers of lymphocytes and bone marrow cells, such as Burkitt's lymphoma, T-cell lymphoma, B-cell lymphoma and various kinds of myelogenic leukemia, and further immune system diseases such as autoimmune diseases, e.g. psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertrophic arthritis, myasthenia gravis, erythematous lupus and uveitis. The composition is also useful for suppressing immune reactions to grafted organs.</p> |
