PURPOSE:To remove acidic impurities in an electrolyte and improve the charge and discharge efficiency of a lithium secondary cell by adding an organic lithium compound to the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:An organic Li compound expressed by R-Lix (R is alkyl, allyl, aryl, benzyl, benzoyl group, (x)>1) added to an electrolyte solved with Li salt in an organic solvent. The organic Li compound with the group R is reacted with acidic impurities but rarely reacted with Li and solved in the solvent used for an Li secondary cell. It is not deteriorated by being reacted with a positive electrode active material. The addition depends on the production conditions of the electrolyte and the purity of the materials, the double equivalent or below of acidic impurities is preferable. |
