PURPOSE:To see that a image sensor may not be faulty by the effect of shadow caused by adhesion of sealing material by providing a frame for preventing scattering of sealing material at the inner part of a sealing part of a housing member or a transparent cap. CONSTITUTION:A frame 12 made of glass is bonded to the inner position of the sealing material 13 applied area of a glass cap 11, and a housing member 14 to mount an image sensor chip 16 is made in such a construction that the bottom part and the side part are united. Hereby, even if a part of the sealing material 13 scatters at the time of sealing due to thermal expansion, it is checked by the frame 12 and does not reach above the image sensor chip 16 and the scattering of the sealing material does not affect the wide range.
