PURPOSE:To improve image normal levels in respective listening positions by executing a sound field correction in which an impulse response is supplied by which impulses to reach the respective listening positions first are offset, and the timings of impulses to reach the respective listening positions second become the same. CONSTITUTION:For the reproduced sounds of respective channel signals Rin and Lin by speakers SR1, SR2, SL1 and SL2 to be suppled to signal input terminals 10 and 20, their antiphase components and their in-phase components simultaneously reach respective listening positions P1 and P2, the antiphase components are offset, and only the in-phase components are listened. Thus, the asymmetry property of the arrangement of the speakers SR1, SR2, SL1 and SL2 for the positions P1 and P2 can be corrected. Further, the sound pressure levels of the antiphase components at the positions P1 and P2 are made to coincide with each other by adjusting respective gains alpha and betaof a phase inverting circuit 14 and a level regulator 17. A prescribed delay is supplied to the sound speaker SR2 by a delay correcting block 11, and the sound field is corrected by giving the position P1 the impulse response, in which the impulses from the speakers SR1 and SR2 to reach the position P1 first are offset, and the timings of other impulses from the speakers SR1 and SR2 to reach the position P1 second become the same. |
