The invention deals with a multi-hull boat with pivotable floats which during transport can be swung into a position in which the boat has a small width and which for sailing can be swung into a position in which the boat has a large width and thus considerable stability against capsizing. In a further pivoted position of the hulls (about 90@ to the wide position of the hulls), according to Fig.2, position (10b), a further narrow state of the boat is obtained in which it is simple to transport. <IMAGE>
