The invention relates to a heating/cooling apparatus for liquids which principally comprises a rotationally symmetrical storage vessel which is provided on its outer periphery with a heating device. Within the storage vessel is mounted a rotationally symmetrical dome which has a cooling device in the interior. In addition, at least one rotary driveable paddle is mounted in the interior of the storage vessel between the outer wall and the wall of the dome. The rotionally symmetrical base descends stepwise or in a conical manner from the inside to the outside. The outlet connection is mounted in the region of the higher base section near the centre. The lower base section is not encompassed by the stirrer blade or stirrer blades of the stirrer and exhibits a calmed zone.
