<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a copying machine from performing waste action outputting a jam detection signal, only when a stop signal is output from a photosensor, by arranging a needle wheel in a position coming into contact with paper and the photosensor corresponding to a star wheel provided in a sensor shaft supporting the needle wheel. CONSTITUTION:When paper is conveyed coming, a needle wheel 11 pierces its needle to the paper, and a control is performed such that a rotary speed of the needle wheel 11 agrees with a moving speed of the paper. Under this condition, a jam is generated in the paper, when its feed is stopped, the needle wheel 11, stopping with the paper, stops rotation of a sensor shaft 10, and a roller 20, rotated by magnetic force of a magnet roller 15, is held to a stop position in a slipping condition even when the magnet roller 15 rotates. By stopping this needle wheel 11, a star wheel 25 is detected for its stop condition by a photosensor, and being based on a detection signal of this photosensor, a copying machine main unit stops its action.</p> |
