摘要 Floating ship structures of bamboo, timber, aluminium, plastics and steel are known. The construction system described here concerns in the initial situation a steel hull. Events show time after time that passenger ships, merchant ships, container ships and warships are inadequate in the hull construction to protect against damage despite considerable wall thicknesses of even more than half a metre and corresponding dead weights. Further wall strengthening automatically entails increased dead weights, relatively reduced useful-load options, increased expenditure of energy at still inadequate speeds. The aim of the invention is to use in combination with steel a synthetic material which is already obtainable on the market and which has a rupturing strength comparable with that of steel but is substantially lighter than steel in weight by volume. Since this synthetic material does not enter into a connection with steel in this order of magnitude, the hull is welded together three-dimensionally in terms of laminations and horizontally and vertically in terms of hollow spaces, so that the hollow spaces thereby developed can be lined with the synthetic material. According to the invention, the description relates to the arrangement of the hull construction of any requisite wall thicknesses which is welded together three-dimensionally in terms of laminations and horizontally and vertically in terms of hollow spaces and recessed and offset in the lamination thickness. <IMAGE>
