PURPOSE:To secure such an automobile ceiling material that is excellent in heat resistance and sound-absorbability by laminating a thermoplastic resin foaming body provided with a lot of through holes and a decorative surfacing material on one side of a nonwoven fiber mat on which an inorganic fiber is partially bonded with a thermoplastic resin binding agent. CONSTITUTION:A glass fiber and a high density polyethylene fiber are fed to a card machine at a weight ratio of 3:1, producing a matlike material. A high density polyethylene film is laminated on both sides of this matlike material, and this laminated film is heated and compressed by a roll, producing a nonwoven fiber mat. This mat is one that is formed with a lot of voids over the whole body and has good permeability. Both sides of this nonwoven fiber mat are heated, and a crosslinked-low density polyethylene foaming body of a closed cell and a decorative surfacing material consisting of a nonwoven fiber with permeability are laminated on one side of this heated nonwoven fine mat in succession. With this constitution, such an automobile ceiling material that is lighter in weight and excellent in heat resistance and sound- absorability is securable. |
