<p>A process for producing L-amino acids of general formula (I), wherein A denotes the residue of an amino acid molecule, from D,L-α-aminonitriles of general formula (II), wherein A has the above-mentioned meaning, is characterized in that the α-aminonitriles are fermented with a culture of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus DSM 3875, and the D,L-amino acid amides of general formula (III) so obtained, wherein A has the above-mentioned meaning, are reacted with a culture of microorganisms which contains amino acid amide racemases and L-amino acid amide amidases.</p> |
