PURPOSE:To express optional additional information in a desirable type face such as a vertical writing or a horizontal writing by constituting displayed additional information of 1st and 2nd picture elements arrayed in grid and appropriately selecting the picture element. CONSTITUTION:A band-shaped picture element seal 52 is stuck on the leading edge part of a contact glass 3 along a reference plate 51. The array in grid obtained by combining many 1st picture elements 521, 522,...551, 552,... and 2nd picture elements 611, 612,...631, 632,... is displayed on the back surface of said seal 52. Many 1st picture elements having a length l2 are arrayed at intervals of space l1 in the width (cross) direction of the picture element seal 52 and the 2nd picture elements are vertically arrayed in the part of the space l1. Vertically observing it, the 2nd picture elements having a length l3 are arrayed at intervals of the space l1 and the 1st picture elements are vertically arrayed in the part of the space l1. By placing an original on the contact glass and copying it, electrostatic latent images in the array of the picture elements displayed on the picture element seal 52 are temporarily formed. After the latent images are selectively exposed, they are developed so as to record the additional information on copying paper. |
