A closure for the corner joints of platform gates of utility vehicles has a bent lever 4 which is mounted pivotably on a baseplate 8 which can be fastened to a first platform gate 1. The bent lever 4 has a closing arm 6 with a U-shaped closing hook 7. An L-shaped counter holder 20 is fastened to a second platform gate 2 in such a manner that its short limb protrudes from the platform gate and is fitted over by the U-shaped closing hook. The closing hook 7 and the counter holder 20 each have two contact surfaces 26, 27 or 28, 29, respectively, which point in different directions by 90@, in the closed position of the bent lever 4 lie opposite one another in pairs and press on one another so that the platform gates 1, 2 are braced against one another in two directions in a manner free of play. One of the opposite contact surfaces of each pair has a ramp along which the respectively other contact surface of the corresponding pair slides when the bent lever 4 is turned into its closed position. <IMAGE>
