A method for adjusting the squeegee of a cylinder screen printing machine in relation to the mid-axis of the cylinder consists in firstly projecting a sharply bundled light beam onto the circumference of the cylinder above its mid-axis when the screen frame has been removed, then fitting the screen frame on so that a light mark is produced thereon above the contact line with the cylinder, and then displacing the fitted-on squeegee horizontally so that its one lower edge is just touched by the light beam.
