<p>PURPOSE:To reduce an installation space and to execute an efficient utilization by causing one part of housing shelves to be mobile in a flat surface along the traveling path of an automatic carrying mechanism, and simultaneously, arranging the housing shelves in plural lines in the width direction of the traveling path. CONSTITUTION:At least one part of housing shelves 6-9 is made mobile in the flat surface along a traveling path 2 of automatic carrying mechanisms 3 and 4, and simultaneously, the housing shelves 6-9 are arranged in plural lines in the width direction of the traveling path 2. Consequently, by properly combining the movements of the housing shelves 6-9, the accesses of the automatic carrying mechanisms 3 and 4 to the housing shelves 6-9 at deeper sides can be executed, and the increase of the quantity of commutative recording media can be easily dealt with without increasing the installation space in the length direction of the traveling path 2 distortedly. Even in case of providing plural sets of automatic carrying mechanisms 3 and 4, at the time of the access of one side of the automatic carrying mechanisms 3 and 4 to the housing shelves 6-9 located at maximum edge parts, by moving the sides of the aimed housing shelves 6-9, a necessity to retreat the automatic carrying mechanisms 4 (3) of the other side can be eliminated. Thus, the reduction of the installation space and the efficient utilization of the mass storage device can be executed.</p> |
