A cooking oven which includes an approximately spherical cooking chamber (2), an aperture (9) through a side of the approximately spherical cooking chamber (2), an air outlet (11) in an upper part of the cooking chamber (2), an air inlet (6) in a lower part of the chamber (2), a ring of gas jets (5) with a diversion deflector to divert heated air to rise around an inner side of a substantially spherical container (1) so as to provide a cooking effect on foods supported in an approximately central position on a wire tray within the approximately spherical chamber (2). |
