摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a recording to be performed with a proper density and a superior gradation at a junction part, by a method wherein, in an area where dots are alternately printed by two recording heads, output data of a pulse voltage or pulse width outputted correspondingly to the inputted recording density data is converted higher at the time of a solid printing. CONSTITUTION:A recording head unit 3 can discharge inks of yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C, black Bk, each color of which has deep and light types. Eight recording heads in total for these colors vary a dot size by controlling a pulse voltage. Then, since a large dot point A of a light magenta ink and a small dot point B of a deep magenta ink have approximately the same density, a halftone expression from a low density to a high density can be performed by connecting aforesaid two points. Here, the use of a dither for making the pseudo profile of the junction part inconspicuous lowers a recording density. For correcting this problem, for example, the drive voltage for the deep magenta ink is raised from 28V to 32V and those for the other colors are similarly raised, whereby a proper recording density can be obtained.
