<p>An assembly of multipurpose prefabricated elements for the automatic transplantation of plants consists of a combination of rigid or flexible strips, preferably of synthetic material, with mutually parallel, perpendicular, stationary and equidistant or sliding partitions. The strips are either horizontal (3) with vertical partitions or vertical with single (5) or double lateral partitions, and slide in a fixed structure made of plastic or other material comprising parallel vertical partitions (10) perpendicular to those of the sliding strips which guide the latter and form with the latter cells of square or rectangular cross-section designed to form clods of earth. The flexible strips can be interconnected to form endless strips of great length. The assembly also includes automatic means for driving said sliding strips and displacing the clods by pushing or squeezing. The assembly permits mechanization and automation of the manipulations required to transplant plants in pots or in the ground in horticultural installations of all sizes.</p> |
