PURPOSE:To play music which has a long downtime with small storage capacity by storing sounding timing by musical notes by using sequential in-section timing determined in a unit play section shorter than one bar, and storing the length of a downtime longer than the unit play section in the form of the number of unit play sections. CONSTITUTION:The sequential in-section timing determined in the unit play section shorter than one bar is used to represent the sounding timing by musical notes. Further, the length of the downtime longer than the unit play section is stored in the form of downtime information represented by the number of unit play sections, an information read from a storage means is stopped and controlled at 1st timing in response to the transmission of the downtime information, and the number of unit play sections is counted; when a downtime indicated by the downtime information comes to the end, the information read from the storage means is restarted. Consequently, even music which has a downtime longer than the length of the unit play section is played without any trouble. |
