The scraper is particularly for a rotogravure printing pres, having a metal blade (2) of constant thickness. This runs in the lengthwise direction and has a working edge (4) along one side. At the other side, the blade is enclosed over part of its width in a plastic holding body (5). The top and bottom faces can be parallel, giving a constant thickness, and the body can extend over half the width of the blade. USE/ADVANTAGE - Scraper or doctor blade for rotogravure printing press. System keeps blade at constant thickness while wearing down, no complex machining operations being necessary.
