PURPOSE:To prevent lumps of polymer particles from depositing on the gas sparger plate, wall surface, etc., of a fluidized bed vapor-phase polymerizer equipped with no agitator, by arranging caps on the respective holes in the plate so that the gas blown from the respective holes may form a vortex. CONSTITUTION:A gas sparger plate 3 is provided in a fluidized bed vapor-phase polymerizer equipped with no agitator. Holes 1 are formed in a pattern of concentric circles on the plate 3, and a cap 2 which has a tapered or streamline contour in the vertical section and from which a gas is blown in one direct ion is provided on each hole 1. The caps 2 are arranged in such a manner that the openings of the caps on one circle direct in the same direction, and the caps in one radial direction gradually turn their directions from an outward direction to an inward direction so that the gas blown from them may pass through the shaft center of come into contact with it. In this way, the gas can be allowed to swirl and can wash off polymer particles deposited on the wall of the apparatus. |
