The inspection hatch comprises a panel (2) sealing off a square or rectangular opening. The panel is held shut by two gravity weights (4) coupled to it by ropes or chains (3), in which position it bears against stops (6,7). The steps are part of two components (11) secured to the wall (10) by elastic clips on opposite sides of the opening. The chains, etc., can be passed through brackets (5) which are part of the components, while adjusting screws (7) are provided on the stopps. USE/ADVANTAGE - For access to bath drain, etc. behind panelling, being of low cost and easy to instal.
