PURPOSE:To increase the welding strength between a terminal plate and terminals and to improve the work efficiency by welding the tub terminal plate in which a slit hole is formed at the center of the weld with cell terminals in the longitudinal direction, to the terminals at the upper and the lower sides of the cell. CONSTITUTION:At the center of the weld 14 of a tub terminal plate 12, a slit hole 13 is engraved in the longitudinal direction of the terminal plate. When the welding is carried out, the welding current flowing from an electrode 15 flows through the tub terminal plate 12 and a sealing plate 18 of the cell shown as 17, and flows back to an electrode 16 through the tub terminal plate 12 and 17. In this case, since the resistance of the connection 19 between the terminal plate 12 and the sealing plate 18 is large, the welding current generates heat and welds there, and the welding is utilized effectively. Consequently, the welding strength between the terminal plate and the terminals can be improved. |
