The container comprises a receiver and a snap-action lid, the edge of which lid can be brought into positive engagement with an upper edge of the receiver. To design a waste container which is reliable and easy to handle, the upper edge of the receiver is provided with a large number of adjacent, spaced projections along its exterior and interior, the lid edge is of double-wall design, enclosing a cavity for accommodating the upper edge of the receiver in a positive manner, and the outer wall of the lid edge has a large number of perforations corresponding to the arrangement of the projections on the exterior of the upper edge of the receiver. <IMAGE> |
