PURPOSE:To obtain the polarizing plate which has good adhesiveness of conductive films and excellent solvent resistance and durability and allows easy production by forming the conductive films via hard coat layers onto a transparent substrate consisting of a cellulosic system. CONSTITUTION:The hard coat films 3 are formed on the surfaces of the transparent cellulosic substrates 2 of the polarizing plate consisting of a polarizing element and the transparent cellulosic substrates 2 protecting both faces thereof and the conductive films 4 are formed by vapor deposition on the hard coat films 3. While the conductive film 4 may be provided on only the one face after the hard coat films 3 are formed on both faces of the substrates 2, the one hard coat film 3 may be omitted and the conductive films 4 may be formed on both faces as well. The polarizing plate which has the good adhesiveness of the conductive films 4, the high surface smoothness and optical performance and the excellent solvent resistance and durability and allows easy production is thereby obtd. |
