PURPOSE:To dividingly supply toner quantity in response to its consumption in the direction of the axis of a developing roller by photoelectrically reading original information corresponding to each part of toner supplying means which are divided coaxially with the developing roller, and controlling each toner supply based on this image information. CONSTITUTION:The title toner supplying means possesses plural toner supplying means 18a-18c which are divided coaxially with the developing roller 14. The original information which corresponds to each divided toner supplying means is read photoelectrically and the operation of each toner supplying means is controlled based on this read image information or on information outputted from an image processing circuit. Hereby the amount of toner which is supplied by each part in the axial direction of the developing roller 14, that is, the toner 20 in response to its consumption of each part in the axial direction of the developing roller can be supplied. |
