PURPOSE:To obtain the subject novel resin giving a toner without offset phenomenon as a binder by reacting specific polyolefin to a reaction product of (hydrogen added) bisphenol type epoxy resin and specific oligomer. CONSTITUTION:At first, (A) 100 pts.wt. (hydrogen added) bisphenol type, epoxy resin is reacted with (B) 2-15 pts.wt. oligomer containing butadiene or isoprene as a main monomer and >=1.5, in average, active hydrogen able to react with epoxy group. Next, 100 pts.wt. of the product is reacted with (C) 0.2-10 pts.wt. polyolefin containing at least one of carboxyl group, acid anhydride group and carbonic acid salt to afford the aimed resin. Besides, glycidyl ether of bisphenol A, etc., is preferable as a component A. Further, for instance, ethylene/ acrylic acid copolymer, etc., is used as a component C. |
