PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet material having simple construction and constitution and inexpensive cost price by blending high melting fibers of any kind or waste fibers with fibers thermally fusible at a relatively low temperature into a fiber extended state, subjecting to needle processing into a felt state, laminating a fiber extended material obtained in the same manner to the resulting felt shaped material and heat-treating. CONSTITUTION:Natural fibers such as cotton, flax, silk or wool or high-melting synthetic fibers such as polyester, polyacryl fibers or polyamide or one or more of waste fibers thereof are blended with fibers such as polypropylene, polyethylene or copolymer polyester thermally fusible at a relatively low temperature, made into a fiber extended material by a drafts machine and further subjected to needle processing into a felt state to give ground fabric. The fiber extended material is piled laminated to the ground fabric, heat-treated at 150-250 deg.C, fused and integrated. |
