<p>The invention concerns a colour-change and washing method for use in a spreading device (10) for a coating agent, advantageously a paint, wherein the colour or any other liquid that is used is passed through a valve into a collector duct (13) and from there further along a separate duct into the spreading device (10). In the method a washing program is started wherein the washing liquid is carried through the collector duct (13) to the spreading device (10) and from there further along an outlet duct (24) into a collecting vessel (15).
