<p>NEW MATERIAL:4,4-Carbonylbis(2-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoline-5-thione) of formula III. USE:A condensation agent. It is an easily handleable crystalline substance having a melting point of 202 deg.C, storable stably over a long period, exhibiting high condensation activity even at room temperature, having excellent reactivity and stability, high soluble in various solvents and giving an easily separable and purifiable product. Amides, peptide (thio)esters, urea and carbonates can be extremely easily synthesized at room temperature by the use of the agent. The agent does not cause racemization even in a peptide synthesis by one-pot process. PREPARATION:The objective compound of formula III can be produced in high yield, by reacting 2-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoline-5-thione of formula I with trichloromethyl-chloroformate of formula II in an organic solvent such as benzene at 50-100 deg.C for 5-24hr.</p> |
