PURPOSE:To provide even a single-lens reflex camera with an automatic focusing function, by using an objective lens photodetecting element provided on a film surface and a direct objective photodetecting element provided separately, and equalizing the photodetection amounts of the two to each other. CONSTITUTION:On the film surface of the camera, the objective lens photodetecting element is provided. When the single-lens reflex camera is put in focus, a viewfinder becomes brightest. The brightness of an object is sent to the direct objective photodetecting element to catch the maximum amount of photodetection. Then, an objective lens is moved to equalize the amount of photodetection of the objective lens photodetecting element to that of said direct objective photodetecting element, thus discriminating an in-focus point of the camera. Consequently, even the single-lens reflex camera has the automatic focusing function. |
