PURPOSE:To improve recording sensitivity while preservable stability is maintained by subjecting the optical recording member to a post treatment at and under a specific temp. and relative humidity. CONSTITUTION:At least two layers; a recording medium layer contg. at least one element selected from a metal, metalloid or semiconductor and a protective layer consisting of a plasma polymerized film of an org. compd. are formed on a substrate and are then subjected to the post treatment of exposing the layers to the atmosphere of 40-95 deg.C and 50-90% relative humidity for 0.1-100 hours. The sensitivity is improved by subjecting the layers to the heating treatment in the atmosphere having moisture in such a manner. The optical recording medium having the excellent preservable stability and high sensitivity is thereby obtd. |
