PURPOSE:To relieve calcining strain when a cylindrical or tubular ceramic molded body is suspended and calcined by suspending the molded body with a ceramic string. CONSTITUTION:A through-hole 4 is bored in one end of a tubular or cylindrical ceramic molded body 1 obtd. by molding ceramics such as titania with a molding assistant and a ceramic string 6 is passed through the hole 4 and a through hole 5 in a support tube 3. After the string 6 is looped, the molded body 1 is suspended in a freely dangling state, placed in a furnace and calcined. By this method, the shrinkage of the molded body 1 by calcining is slightly restrained, so a ceramic calcined product having very small calcining strain is obtd. |
