PURPOSE:To make pursuit of the cause at a line failure easy, by storing the amplitude data or phase data exceeding a prescribed value to a storage section, in a system where a terminal device and a processor are tied with a communication line via an MODEM. CONSTITUTION:An amplitude data A(analog signal) and a phase data Q(analog signal) are extracted from a modulation and demodulation section 2, they are digitized at an A/D converter 7 to obtain an amplitude data A1 and a phase data Q1. A discriminating section 10 compares the discriminates a set amplitude value AR with the A1 and a set phase value QR with the Q1. When the Ai(Qi) exceeds the A1 (or Q1) at a time ti, for example, the Ai(or Qi) is fed to a processing section 12 and stored in a memory 11 together with the data ti. After the end of operation, the data (Ai,Qi,ti) are read out from a control section 14 by operating a keyboard 16. |
