CONNECTION FOR CRYSTALLINE OSCILLATORS' TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE COMPENSATION

A voltage controlled tuning component tunes the crystal oscillator frequency within narrow limits. The tuner is associated with two temperature compensating circuits (16,18) that are coupled thermally to the crystal and generate the required compensating voltages. These are applied to a linear, variable interpolating component (14) whose output, which is the sum, weighted according to the cut angle, controls the tuning component (12). - The circuits may be used for several oscillators. The initial calibration is at 25 deg.C, and this is then reset for a different temperature.
