PURPOSE:To form a stable thin layer by pressing with pressure a bar-like member with rigidity on a developer carrier with a similar rigidity. CONSTITUTION:The title device includes a roller holder part 15 holding a cylindrical bar 5 and a pressure spring 6 pressing with pressure said bar 5, which is pressed against a developing sleeve 3 at a fixed charge. The cylindrical bar 5 is made of polycarbonate of a 6phimm having rigidity, and even if a 2-4gf/mm load is applied to the cylindrical bar 5, it provides a uniform, even conveying amount of 7-9mg/cm<2>. As a result, a uniform image with a stable density can be obtained. As the material of the sleeve 3, a nonmagnetic stainless, copper or its alloy groups, phenol aldehyde resin with a rigidity of 1.0-10X10<4>kg/cm<2>, hard vinyl chloride resin, polycarbonate, polyacetals, etc., can be used. Besides, hard materials such as fluorocarbon resin, nitrocellulose can be employed. |
