PURPOSE:To obtain an antimutagen agent containing extract of tea and capable of utilizing for cosmetic, food, medicine, etc. CONSTITUTION:A dried product of tea such as green tea, black tea or oolong tea is extracted using water, hydrophilic solvent (e.g., methanol or ethanol), hydrophobic solvent (e.g., chloroform or hexane) or mixture thereof and the resultant extract is directly or after concentrating or diluting or concentrating to dryness, blended with a cosmetic, food, medicine, etc. The tea extract has effect decreasing mutagen produced in a living organism as well as effect decreasing mutagen before acting to the living organism and is blended within the range of 0.0001-5.0wt.%, preferably 0.001-0.5wt.% based on the total weight of cosmetic, etc. |
