PURPOSE:To obtain a powder with improved flowability and high filling properties at less step processes by coating rare earth element and iron magnetic powder surface with a solid organic resin at normal temperature. CONSTITUTION:A solid organic resin at room temperature of 0.1-50mum is applied over the surface of a magnetic powder whose basic composition consists of rare earth metal, iron, and boron and which is made by rapid cooling method and then is formed and baked. Organic resin used are solids at room temperature among epoxy resin, polyester resin etc. Also, coating is performed by dipping magnetic powder into an organic resin which is dissolved in a solvent or by spray etc. It allows surface condition to be slippery and powder with improved flowability may be obtained at low cost, and a high-performance magnet may be produced. |
