PURPOSE:To provide a higher selectively for iodide ion by introducing a specific cation into an organic polymeric matrix being the addition polymer of the vinyl monomers using an oil-soluble polymerization initiator to obtain the anion- exchange resin having a specific particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:The tertiary amine or tertiary phosphine expressed by the formula II (wherein R11, R12 and R13 represent alkyl group and allyl group) is allowed a quarternary reaction with a substantially water-insoluble resin having a group capable of quarternary reaction with a tertiary amine for cation introduction, thereby forming an anion-exchange resin containing the cation expressed by formula I (wherein L1 is a single bond or divalent group, D1 is nitrogen atom and phosphorus atom, R11, R12 and R13 represent the same groups as in the formula II and X1 is anion) and having the average particle diameter of not less than 50mum. This anion-exchange resin has a high degree of selectivity for iodide ion. |
