<p>PURPOSE:To aim at compactification in structure as well as to improve assemblability by setting up a motor for a device bearing the above caption and a worm gear in a parallel manner, and getting rid of such a part as projected in the axial direction from this motor, while setting up a position detecting means of an adjusting rod concentrically with the adjusting rod. CONSTITUTION:In a lamp housing 7 clamped to a car body, there is provided with a tilting device 21 which performs leveling adjustment for a headlight unit 2, and a rod supporter 50 is supported on its casing 22 free of movement in the longitudinal direction. An intermediate part 58 of an adjusting rod 54 is inserted, free of rotation, into a hole 50a of this rod supporter 50, and the front end is pivotally supported on the unit 2. Then, a rotor 70 as one body with a worm wheel 72 is screwed in a screw shaft part 52 of the rod supporter 50, making it transmit rotation of a motor 61 to the rotor via gear trains 65, 69 and a worm gear 68 set so as to cause each axis to become paralleled. In addition, a detecting means 98 for detecting a position of the adjusting rod 54 is installed in a rear end of the adjusting rod 54 concentrically with the adjusting rod 54.</p> |
