<p>PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary for a user to prepare a hand printer and a mouse by adding a mouse function to a manual scanning type storage device and allowing one device to execute manual recording and coordinate input. CONSTITUTION:In a hand printer 100 with a mouse function, a control part 101 controls the whole device. A mechanical part 102 includes a roll to be rotated while being abutted upon recording paper by manual scanning, an encoder for detecting the rotation of the roll, a recoding head part, and so on. A sliding/holding part 103 slides the mechanical part 102 between a recordable position and a waiting position or holds at either one position. A rotation detecting part 104 detects the rotational frequency of a rotary member 105 functioned as a mouse and detects its moving direction, moving distance or the like. A switch 106 instructs the start of recording operation such as printing at the time of being used as a hand printer, or is used as an instruction input switch to a host computer 110 at the time of being used as a mouse.</p> |
