<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the generation of a stable power semipermanently and a lost cost and reliably by means of the drop water pressure of sea water, by a method wherein water is pumped up from sea through a steel pipe, and when sea water is dropped through a generating plant on a seat bottom to a drain pond, sea water, simultaneously, is returned to sea for power generation. CONSTITUTION:A power plant is built on a sea bottom located approximate 120m deep in water, and water is vertically pumped up through a steel pipe from a position approximate 100m down from a sea surface. Water passes right laterally through the power plant, and a gallery is built toward a ground. Since sea water in an intake pipe is dropped to a drain pond from a place located approximate 250m away from the outlet to a ground of the gallery, i.e., a spot situated in a level approximate 40m lower than th//at of a sea surface, a different gallery to the drain pond is built for piping. The intake steel pipe is cut after it is vertically bent at a distance of 25m from a spot above the drain spot, and an amount equivalent to an amount of dropping water is to be instantaneously drained to sea water. The drop port to the drain pond of the intake steel pipe is positioned in a spot approximate 65m lower than a sea surface, and a flow is permanently continued so far as the flow is not shut in the same steel pipe due to air by means of cohesion of water.</p> |
