PURPOSE:To increases the chances of direct contact of the film with odorous components and to improve the deodorizing function by providing a deodorant of fine white powder which consists essentially of a mixture composed of titanium oxide and zinc oxide and contains some water component to the film, and etching the surface by exposure to an atmosphere where active species exist to expose a part of the fine powder deodorant. CONSTITUTION:The fine powder deodorant which consists essentially of the titanium oxide and the zinc oxide is the fine white powder which contains some water component and has particularly the excellent property to adsorb ammonia and hydrogen sulfide at a low temp. and low concn. as a measure of comparing and evaluating deodorizing power. Malodorous components are converted to lower molecules by a catalytic effect and are thereby removed, further, the zinc oxide chemically adsorbs acidic gases and the titanium oxide physically adsorbs alkaline gases. The film is obtd. by exposing the same to the atmosphere where the active species exist to etch the surface of the film. The deodorant has the many chances of direct contact with the odorous components so that the deodorant exhibits the intrinsic performance and the deodorizing performance is improved. |
