LOAD CONTROLLER FOR TWO CYCLE ENGINE

PURPOSE:To facilitate load control by providing an injector in the combustion chamber of a 2-cycle engine and also providing a throttle valve and a scavenging pump in communication with the scavenging port of a cylinder and driving the scavenging pump by means of a crank shaft via a speed change mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An ignition plug 9 and a direct injection type injector 10 are fitted to the top of a combustion chamber 8. Fuel after which is discharged from a fuel pump 22 and its pressure is regulated by a pressure regulating valve 24 and pressurized air after which is generated by a compressor 28 and its pressure is regulated by a pressure regulating valve 26 are supplied to the injector 10. A scavenging port 16 is opened at a position shifted on about 90 degree from the position of the exhaust port 11 of the cylinder 21 A scavenging pump 33 is continuously provided via a scavenging chamber 31 and an intercooler 32 at a scavenging pipe 30 connected to a scavenging pump port 16 and a throttle 34 is provided at the suction side thereof. The scavenging pump 33 is connected via a speed change mechanism 40 to a crank shaft 5 and the speed change mechanism is controlled together with the injector 10 by a control unit 50.
